History
1975 was historic for Jon and Bob while working as city planners for the Portland Planning Commission. With their interest in design and building, the two decided to merge their talents into a side gig building signs for the restaurant and lounge at the Airport Sheridan Hotel as well as the artwork for 215 guestrooms. That was successful and a few months later decided to quit their regular employment after accepting a much larger job in Belleview, WA. That involved designing and building all the signage, furniture, artwork and wall coverings for the Greenwood Inn using an Aztec theme. Three months and 2000 hours later the two completed the work on time with rave reviews. From that point, design and fabrication work increased with requests from developers, architects and interior designers as well as private entities like Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Forrest Heights, Rejuvenation and Washington Square.
